I have tutored for high school chemistry, AP Chemistry, and introductory chemistry at the college level. Chemistry can be fascinating, but it is often very abstract and poses a challenge for many students. My general approach is to help students understand the foundations, because without a strong handle on the basics, understanding more challenging concepts and solving more difficult problems can feel impossible. I majored in chemistry at Rhode Island College and also completed the secondary education program, through which I worked with many students in middle and high school. I have been tutoring high school and undergraduate students in chemistry since 2010. For both my job, internship, and graduate study, I've written procedures, policy analyses, and persuasive papers. I am interested in helping students with argumentative and technical writing, including overall proofreading, resumes/cover letters, and essays.
